Hello, I am about to apply for a green card through my marriage with an american citizen. I entered in US with a visitor visa and I overstayed it and eventually got married. I have the followed forms completed each 90-100% and I would need them checked by someone with experience in this matter. This is the forms that I have so far: -G-325a (my information) -G-325a (my wife information) - I-130 - I-485 - I-765 - I-693 - I-864 here is my problem, my wife does not qualify to sponsor me so my friend completed this form. But i am not sure if he's eligible to sponsor me since he made $30k/year in the last 3 years but he has a wife and 2 small children and a mortgage for the house valued at $250k. So can he be my sponsor? - Copies of all the other documents. Thank you very much.

I suggest that you find an experienced immigration attorney who would be willing to work with you on your immigration matter. You can search this site. You can also try: http://www.ailalawyer.com/

I strongly suggest that you seek the advise and representation of an experienced immigration attorney. The process may just look like submitting simple forms but it is actually much more complicated. If you are not trained in immigration law, you can actually make serious mistakes that have permanent consequences. It is much harder for an attorney to undo your mistakes later. It is better to do it right the first time.

You are correct to seek assistance. Call a lawyer and schedule a consultation. This website and the reviews are a great resource for choosing a lawyer.

I can almost guarantee that by going without an attorney you will face problems. Your questions cannot be answered without a thorough analysis and you really need an Attorney. NOT a paralegal.

How serious are you in obtaining a green card? If your serious, retain an experienced immigration attorney. Immigration Law is one of the most complex areas in the law, that is why you want to utilize an Immigration Attorny not a paralega. Frank Stanczak, Immigration Attorney

A "review" of paperwork prepared by yourself is normally not something that an experienced immigration attorney would do. That would be tantamount to you performing your own repairs on your car and then going to your local mechanic to check over the job to make sure you did it right.
