Can I apply for advance parole based on U-visa deferred action?

Uscis granted me deferred action for U-Visa ( placed in waiting list) and I need to travel outside US for educational and employment purposes. I would like to know if I am eligible to apply for advance parole. If so, what is the fee?

You could potentially seek advance parole through your deferred action but it may cause harm to your U visa application. You are best advised to remain in the United States until your Applucation has been decided. You should schedule a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney to discuss the possible issues involved if you depart the United States.

You are not allowed to apply for advance parole unless you're filing for adjustment (I-485). Once you leave the U.S., you'd need to pass through the local consulate to obtain re-entry visa--the consulate can consider aspects of your case that the Vermont Service Center did not consider and deny your visa. On the other hand, you may file I-192, Application for Advance Permission to Enter as Non-immigrant ($585). Please contact an immigration attorney to avoid costly mistakes.

You should directly contact an immigration attorney to discuss this in detail. If you leave the U.S. you could interrupt the continuous residence required for you to be able to petition for a green card later on based on the approved U visa.
