Insurance is not meant to be discriminatory based on relationship. It's supposed to be available for the negligence of the insured to the injured party. Therefore, if you were injured based on some negligent act or ommission of your girlfriend you will have a claim. I can't tell you what the final result will be but I can discuss it with you if you give me a call. My number is (617) 210-6701 Joseph Chancellor www.chancellorlaw.com

Her homeowners insurance will provide coverage to her for any claims for bodily injury due0 to any negligence on the insured's part with respect to maintaining her property. You would have to prove that the property was maintained in a defective and unreasonably dangerous condition and that it was a condition that she knew about or should have known about and that you were injured as a result thereof. The insurance company does not automatically "just pay" simply because you were hurt on the property. The details of how your accident occurred are important and would be needed to provide you with any opinion as to whether you have a valid claim.

The first question is whether or not there was a dangerous or defective condition on the premises which caused your injury. If you simply fell without a defect, then your girlfriend has no liability to you and you probably have no claim against her homeowner's insurance. On the other hand, if there were a defect or dangerous condition, you certainly may have a claim. You should locate an experienced personal injury attorney to investigate the matter. I have over 23 years experience representing seriously injured individuals in Massachusetts and would be happy to speak with you about your potential claim. My phone is 617-723-7676. Good luck. You have said nothing to support your claim. Falling alone without more does not add up to someone's else's negligence for suffice for a claim.
