Hi, I am a student under F1 and will graduate in May and work .My girl friend is under opt and will expire soon in April. We are going to get married before I apply OPT and she want to change the status from OPT F1 to F2. Will this affect my OPT application? Thanks.

No, it will not have any effect on your OPT application unless an immigrant visa petition is filed on your behalf. Since she is also a nonimmigrant, no effect and she will be able to seek F2.

Your marriage to another F-1 student ( who will change to F-2) will not impact your OPT.

The marriage in question is irrelevant and totally inconsequential regarding your eligibility for OPT and will not affect your pending OPT application in any way, shape or form.
