I filed for for I-485 the process moved forward pretty quick with biometrics and interview, but after the interview I was RFE'ed to submit waiver approval on the 2 year HHR for the J visa I had come through to the States. The Waiver application was approved by both DoS and USCIS CSC in early December '14, but no news on the I-485. I submitted a service request, but received nothing. Do you think, I will be re-interviewed? How long would it take for the CIS to make a decision now?
You can submit a new service request every 30 days. You can also consult with an immigration attorney to see if the attorney might be able to get the attention of USCIS.
You may have filed the FORM I-485 prematurely if you did not have the waiver of the foreign residency requirement in hand prior to submission of the FORM I-485.
