I signed a quick claim deed for the house, transfer into my wife's name she sold the house can I get half the equity in divorce

The house was in my name, we separated, I signed a quick claim deed to put her name on the house as reassurance I would not evict her. She sold the house without my knowledge and kept the equity. We are in the process of filing for divorce. Am I entitled to half the equity seeing as the house was both bought and sold during the course of our marriage?

In Alaska all marital property, regardless of how it is titled, is subject to distribution during divorce. Even completely separate property is subject to distribution under Alaska law. You should immediately seek the advice of an experienced family law attorney. These claims can become very complicated very quickly. You need to ensure that no funds are squirreled away, and you may be able to seek to have the sale rescinded. Get an attorney, soon.

Mr. Gaines has said it - seek out an experienced family law attorney. Yes - from the facts presented it appears you have an interest in the proceeds of the sale of the home. Representation in a contested divorce can be costly but at this point it may be unavoidable and going at it alone may well end in a result that is far more costly in the long run; especially if there is foul-play/bad actor at work on the other side.
