Can a license that has been declared "D6" be reinstated without serving jail time?

I lived in Florida 4 years ago with my fiancé who was there for school and I received a DUI. I was given probation but, the day after court, discovered I was pregnant. My fiancé ended up having to leave school and we got jobs waiting tables. We were struggling to survive, living in a motel. He worked in I.T. but could not find a job. He finally secured a great job, out of state. I told my probation officer and requested to have my probation transferred. He refused. I had no family or friends in Florida, was a couple months pregnant, could not survive on my own and, so had to move with my fiancé. I was found guilty due to violating my probation and fleeing the state. They have no interest in extraditing me, but I want my license back. Do I have options which don't involve jail time?
You will need to contact a Florida attorney to see what can be done. The probation violation and the driver's license suspension are two different animals. If you return to Florida to try to reinstate your driver's license, you run the risk of the warrant being served on you and the sentence imposed. You need to speak with a Florida lawyer who can guide you through the process. If you have an outstanding warrant, it is always best to get it taken care of as soon as possible.

You need to hire a Florida lawyer to assist you with this case. Due to the nature of your conviction, you will have to personally appear in Florida court. It is not mandatory that you serve jail time. You need to have a Florida lawyer negotiate a plea deal for you before you go to court. Even then, the judge is not required to accept the deal that you are offered, however they normally will. You do need to resolve this. You will not get a DL in another jurisdiction until this is resolved since virtually all states belong to the Interstate Drivers Compact.
