I am Maryland Licencee and i got reckless driving ticket in virginia recently. The court date is in end of February 2010. I am going to submit my N-400 form for Naturalization in this month. I am not sure whether i should mention traffic violation in N-400 form or not.I have clean traffic record. I have been living in this country for 3 years and now it's time to apply for Naturalization. Sould i appoint a lawyer or not? Please Help....
Yes you should mention it. Lying to the immigration is a crime. Also you should hire an attorney familiar with criminal and immigration issues even before you file.

"Reckless driving" may well be a criminal offense. If you are on probation for a criminal conviction, you will not be able to naturalization as long as your are. You must reveal all convictions on your naturalization application. See an immigration lawyer before you file anything.
