Am I responsible for delivery men not collecting the C.O.D payment

I recently made a purchase from a furniture store. Balance was paid off all except $395.00 which they said they would collect upon delivery. they delivered the merchandise and left never asking for the money... I never heard from the furniture company til about 2-3 days later saying that I owe them $335 One of their representatives called and told me that I needed to pay or they would take it out of the delivery men's pay. Now they are hounding me saying they will come pick up the furniture from my house. My question is am I held liable for the money do I have to pay?

This is not a legal question - it is an ethical question. Did you agree to the full purchase price of the furniture? Did you take delivery of the furniture? Did the furniture store comply with is obligations by delivering furniture that matched what you agreed to purchase in the store? If yes, then of course you owe the money - what reason do you believe you have for not owing it?

Yes. You agreed to a price for the furniture, some of which you paid at the store and a promise to pay the balance on delivery. Just because the delivery people didn't ask for payment, is not a legal (or moral) excuse for stiffing the furniture store.
