My existing H1B will expire on March 08, 2015. The petition for extension has been filed on Dec 30,2014 and it is being processed as premium. Till date I did not get the petition number from my employer. I have to travel to India on Jan 21 for my marriage. Want to know what will happen under following 2 situations at POE when coming back on Feb 12: 1) Will I be admitted until March 08, 2015 only? 2) Do I need to re file my H1B extension? What will happen if my existing extension petition is approved, before Jan 21, between Jan 21 and Feb 12 (my return) and after Feb 12 ?
