To erase the arrest record from google

Criminal Defense 4 views 4 answers
I was arrested for selling drug. At that time various newspapers have published the news of my arrest. But my case was dismissed by the judge(on merit). After that i have expunged my charges. Even though i have expunged my charges, when i do google my name with sir name all those news show in search engine. How could i get rid of this problem?

It is very likely you can't. You were in fact arrested and the record of that arrest never goes away.

Actually, if the charge was expunged the expunction should have included the arresting agency. The arresting agency is also ordered to remove record of arrest. If that has been done, and you still cannot get rid of reports of your arrest, a lawsuit is in order.

You can write to google's legal department. Include the details and court documents and request this information be removed from searches. If they are disagreeable, get a lawyer to help you.

I understand your question, but really it may be more relevant to ask a person at google or an individual qualified to address search engine optimization issues. This really doesn't sound like there a great deal more a lawyer can do for you with the facts you have set out above. Good luck
