AM i really in a lease? Even though they scared me into moving in?

I live at Castle Rock formally known as; campus Park. I signed a lease for a 4 bedroom 2 bath. however i was informed on move in day when i picked up my keys that there wasn't any 4 bed/2 bath available and id have to move into an 3 bedroom 3 bathroom. and i never signed a contract for tht particuasr unit. And they told me that i'm still in a lease even though the unit i signed for wasnt available and i'd still be responsible for the full price if i didn't move in. In other words i had no choice. However my knowledge in law is very grey for me, so i'm reaching and askinng for help. But,a couple of months passed and campus park was taken over by new management and so the name changed to Castle Rock. And that's where my problems started. My roomates and i had never gotten along. And considering both of my roomates are family (cousins) and i feel as if there is unfair housing rights involved. Considering their friend works in the office and favortism is involved. I admit i do have alot of company over, hoever i never violated my lease. In my lease it states that i can only have company over for 3 days. its doesnt specify year, month or ect... and my roomates had the same mount of company. Considering they didn't like me they reported me to the front office and i wasnt notified that management would be coming into my room. (the lease states that i have to be given notification for intrusion. except for an emergency, drugs, or death) that wasnt an emergency. THat was intrusion on my privacy considering their friend who works in the office was the one who came in. I was partaking in an "personal affair" with my fiancee since he was getting ready to leave for the military. i consider being wrapped i an towel and opening my bedroom door to the leasing agent in the living room knocking on my door, an invasion of privacy. there is alot more to this case. However I'm running out of time and i don't know what to do i feel as if i back into a corner. Can someone please help me? i HAVE WITNESSES AND DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE MY CASE.

Your actions have opened you up to a lot of these problems... you probably should not have agreed to a different unit than the one you signed for. You might want to find a LL/TT attorney to review everything and see if there is a way out of the lease. Sounds like you definitely want to turn in your written notice of non-renewal when the lease is ended.

You have asked about as complicated a question as I have ever seen on this forum. You have identified two problems (or sets of problems). The first it the misrepresentations made regarding entering into the lease. The second is the events that have occurred subsequent to your move-in which would have occurred even if you had received the apartment that you had originally anticipated. Regarding the first set of problems, what you have described is a violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA), breach of contract, and quite possibly common law fraud (although fraud is difficult to prove. By moving in, you may have ratified the modification of the contract. That would be a defense to a breach of contract action, but not a defense to a DTPA claim. Regarding the second set of problems, what you complain of is not clear. Most leases give the landlord the right to inspect the premises. Whether or not what you have described is actionable depends on many things, e.g. whether or not the inspector/landlord/cousin knew that you were in at the time of the inspection. You also do not explain what you mean by the fact that you are running out of time. Assuming that your landlord did not have the right to inspect or exercised such right in improper fashion might violate the lease and/or constitute a deceptive trade practice, but you damages for that would be minimal and probably not worth pursuing.
