Ticket for driving with a suspended license

In June '14, I was charged with a reduced ticket for neg driving in the 1st degree, since my breathalyzer test was well below the legal limit. The courts changed their payment processing so that I have to pay a third party agency. This is whey my license is suspended (but eligible for reinstatement),b/c all I need to do is pay the ticket for neg 1. I was pulled over for expired tabs (which actually aren't expired, my new tabs are waiting to be picked them up in person at the licensing office). The officer was understanding and said that he would allow me to leave my car where it was and he would just give me a ticket for driving with a suspd. license. He said I'd get a ticket in the mail. Is this violating my probation? My license and tabs should be current within two weeks.

Usually one of the conditions of suspended sentence or negligent driving in the 1st° is that you don't drive without valid license and insurance. You will have to check the judgment and sentence for your case to be certain. If you violated the terms of your sentence the judge could give you any and all suspended jail time. You need to get a hold of your lawyer ASAP.

Yes, this is probably a violation of your probation, which may be punishable by a thirty day mandatory sentence. Hire a lawyer now.
