US 74 - 60MPH zone near Rockingham - this is first offence. However, my daughter is under 21.

Hire an attorney. The money you pay the attorney will be offset by the attorney working a deal where it will not hit your insurance. In addition the speeding ticket is 22 over. Your daughter is in jeopardy of losing her drivers license if she does not get the ticket reduced down. Get a local attorney from Rockingham to help you.

Your daughter's insurance (or yours, if she is on your auto policy) are already through the roof. 22 mph over the limit is considered a very serious speeding offense. That's why you (or she) cannot just pay it off. If she got the ticket in Mecklenburg or Union Counties, there are some great lawyers (Anna Godwin's in Union County) who know the law and the prosecutors and how each county handles a case like your daughter's . Plus, if an attorney is hired, your daughter can go to school or work and not have to go too and spend the day in traffic court .

I know the Rockingham DAs - get a lawyer, ASAP. I recommend Kelly Williams, he will be able to help you.

at 22 mph over, you should absolutely hire an atty to handle this for you. The money the attorney can save you in increased insurance can easily justify the attorney fees you'll pay. DO NOT just send in payment on this one!
