I handed over my pro rata after getting my taxes, however I found out I am entitled to certain credits that I didn't include in my original filing. My bankruptcy is now discharged and I am wondering if I file an amended tax form and get more money back if they will claim it too?
Yes, your Trustee will probably claim an interest in the additional refund to which you're entitled, but you MUST disclose this. Small chance the Trustee would ever find out, but HUGE trouble (as in CRIMINAL FEDERAL FELONY) if the Trustee does find out. DON'T RISK IT! You should immediately disclose this to your bankruptcy attorney, and if you filed pro se, you'll need to hire an attorney for this.
