My insurance company refuses to pay for my car's faulty transmission.

I have a valid insurance policy with them. But the inspector from the insurance company said that the transmission problem was a pre-existing condition. He said that the company would not pay for the transmission fees.

You have correctly identified what will be a spitting match between you and your insurance company so depending on the cost of the repairs, you may need to consider the cost and likelihood of winning vs paying for the transmission repairs yourself. I would add that I am unaware of any "insurance" you can buy for a transmission going out unless it is in the form of some kind of a warranty that covered the mechanics of the car. Sorry about your situation.
