Any permissible purpose after bankruptcy?

Bankruptcy 3 views 2 answers
I received a Chapter 7 discharge in 2013. I have one former creditor that likes to continually "update" an old credit card trade line with the credit bureaus (despite this fact I will never owe anything more than $0) every month like clockwork. I noticed this creditor likes to perform credit pulls and view a copies of my credit report. What (if any) permissible purpose does a former creditor have to view my credit report after a bankruptcy discharge?

The real question is what does the update say? It may or may not be valid.

What updated information are they showing? If they are showing anything other than discharged in bankruptcy, they may be violating the FCRA or the bankruptcy discharge. The link below contains great information on credit reporting.
