All family law lawyers in Pierce County deal with these issues. Some may give free consultations but they will likely tell you the same thing. You want to end this, file for divorce. You worried about support? The court will probably order support and it will go on for a while depending on your age, medical history and needs, the spouses income and other factors. Call the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Assoc and they will provide you with a lawyer who will give you advice and discuss your situation for 30 minutes. While the session is not free it is quite inexpensive.

Most family law attorneys offer a free 1/2 hour consultation. In your case, you may be able to get the assistance you need in other ways. On the domestic violence issues, go to court (or call) and get the assistance of a DV worker to file and serve a protection order on your spouse - it's a free service, and they will help you from start to finish (even in court). I would also recommend that you call DSHS about protection from an "adult abuser". Since you are handicapped, you may qualify for free services from the state to protect you from financial and emotional abuse.
