Can I use my passport to travel abroad for a business trip and not possibly get into any problem when I return to USA?

I am a derivative asylee and have a different nationality than my wife. She is from Myanmar and was granted asylum here from that country a while ago. My new job requires me to travel internationally. I have both a valid passport from my home country, which is again other than Myanmar, and a valid refugee travel document. Which one of these two documents I should be using to enter my destination country?

Since you are a derivative asylee, even if you enter Myanmar, it should not affect your derivative asylee status since the asylum status was granted based on your wife's persecution or well founded fear of persecution and not yours. In short, you can use either document.
