Hi, my wife's grand mother just passed away tonight. my wife became a citizen 2 weeks ago and haven't applied to the passport. the funeral is on Monday and I want to know if there is any way she can travel only with her Colombian passport and her citizen certification

Columbia generally requires the person to enter on the columbian passport ( born a Colombian always a Colombian) Getting back in on the Colombian Passport does not affect anything it's a matter of does it meet the requirements of admittance to the US? State department will give you the best answer...

The problem won't be getting into Columbia, the problem will be getting back into the US, death in the family is one of the reasons you can ask for an expedited passport, so I would contact the State Dept.
