No lawyer is going to be able to tell you why a judge decides to do what he or she does - certainly not based on one sentence online. However, the the standard response time for motion is 21 days. After that period, the movant has 7 days to file a reply. Therefore, it usually takes a minimum of 28 days for a motion to be ripe. Further, some motions need to be set for hearing, which takes additional filing by the moving party. If the motions are important to you, it would be worthwhile to hire an attorney to at least review them with you and to explain the current status on your motions and what you can expect to happen next.

As a former judge myself, I can't tell you how other judges respond. If you are not an attorney, you don't have electronic access to ICCES. Additionally, judges can't talk with you by phone, as that would be an ex parte communication. As a judge, I never replied by email to anyone - attorney or pro se party. Understand that judges need to document EVERYTHING and a large part of that is still being done by "snail mail" unless both parties have attorneys and then it is done through ICCES.
