Can you reopen a divorce decree that is 3 years old?

My divorce decree was 3 years old when she reopened it, it is now 5 years old and my mother reopened it as a intervene with custody and she was given temporary custody of my son. I would like to know if it was able to be reopen when there was no property values in it no debts, no child support, and I was given primary physical custody and it was just two people who agree to divorce. They gave her custody because he was living in her home at the time and she made allegations of abuse, but there's no information showing her allegations no doctor's report, no Cps report, and no police reports. I do have a lawyer, but I would like to know.

Custody issues can always be reopened if there have been substantial changes since the original decree. But since your lawyer will have a lot more information than you've posted here, talking to your lawyer would be your best opportunity to get good advice.

You currently have a lawyer who is likely familiar with all the aspects of your case and legal technicalities so this question should be directed at them. If they have answered it for you and you do not agree or want a second opinion, I would suggest consulting in person with another attorney.

The custody and child support portions of a decree of divorce may be reopened at any time. To succeed, you have to show a sufficient change of circumstances. This is an oversimplification of the process, please note. I cannot tell what the custody arrangements are in your case based on what you have provided. You should discuss your case with an experienced family law attorney.
