What kind of an attorney do I need to research potential liability for creating a Facebook page dedicated to exposing a fraud?

I was the victim of a fraud perpetrated by pest control company employees, who appear to have stalked me prior to my husbands passing and my receiving trust monies. These men hid the fact that the man who quickly became my fiancé, was still married amongst many other things, including the fact that he WAS NOT A SPECIAL FORCES MARINE (he has tatto & detailed stories). He isolated me from friends/family, controlled my food, my medicine and my phone while I underwent a leukemia chemo clinical trial for my uncontrolled multiple sclerosis. Pretended to be my protector while he stole many items/used my credit cards wi/o my permission. No one paying attention. His story was too detailed/his friends backed up everything. Want to expose him, protect next girl. What kind of atty can advise me?

Report him to the police for using your credit cards without permission and see if they want to prosecute. Other than that, you don't mention anything that is a crime.

It sounds like you should consult with an attorney who has experience in the following practice areas: criminal law, family law, personal injury law (including defamation law), and privacy law. Other practice areas may also be involved, but your attorney should have experience in these four practice areas, at least. If I were in your position, I would be worried about your former "significant other" bringing an action (a law suit) against you for defamation. In TN, "Defamation is the making of false statements, oral or written, about another person. There are two types of defamation, libel and slander." (Understanding Tennessee Law of Libel and Slander) "Libel is a form of defamation that results when a false and defamatory statement is written about a person (as opposed to spoken about a person). Libel results in injury to the person’s character or reputation. Libel does not occur just because the statement is annoying, offensive, or embarrassing to a person; the statement must reasonably hold the person up to public hatred, contempt, or ridicule. In order to prove libel, the plaintiff must prove that the statement was communicated to another person other than the plaintiff (called publication) knowing that the statement was false or without taking appropriate steps to determine whether the statement was true. The standard for libel differs if the person about whom the statement is written is a public figure. The law of who is a public figure is very complicated, but people like famous actors and national politicians are almost always considered to be public figures. It is harder for public figures to prove a libel case. A person accused of libeling another person can defend [himself or herself] by proving the truth of the statement. In addition, there are several exceptions to libel law that prevent some false and defamatory statements from forming the basis of a libel action. For example, statements made in the course of a judicial proceeding that are relevant to the issues involved in the proceeding cannot form the basis of a libel action." (Understanding Tennessee Law of Libel and Slander) By posting this information on , Facebook, etc., you may be opening yourself up to a Libel lawsuit. You need an attorney who can defend you in a defamation case, if your former "significant other" decides to bring an action against you for defamation. Finally, get real! You don't want to "expose him [to] protect [the] next girl;" you want revenge, plain and simple! That's fine. Unless you have compelling evidence which supports each of your allegations, a trier of fact (i.e., a Court) is going to see this as a he-said-she-said dispute between a bitter woman and her sleazy-sounding former boyfriend / "fiancée" / whatever. To quote the eloquent, pithy philosopher, Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!"
