How long does it take for a PO to get a tolling order?

I have also read that PO's cannot extend probation past what the court has already ordered. I have to go into see my PO Tuesday and my term expired the 25th of march which is Wednesday. The reason I am asking is because I am a few classes short of the drug classes assigned to me by the drug evaluator but I have completed all the possible classes I could in that given amount of time. Thank you so reading this question!

A tolling order does not extend the time one is on probation, rather it suspends the probation time-period from running until the probationer is back in full compliance. Ideally you should hire an attorney to finish help you straighten the situation out.

Tolling means pausing. A tolling order would cause the clock to pause, which would, in effect, extend the time you are on probation. You should get an attorney. I suspect the court will be open to extending your probation to allow you to finish your classes, and this may be in your best interest. Otherwise, the PO may simply seek a violation. The PO cannot extend your time on probation, but the court can, and, if you have not completed your terms, the PO can take the violation to the court in an effort to get you sanctioned, potentially with jail time.

A PO could get an order signed in a day if they wanted to. But if they tolled it now the worst thing that could happen is you could be revoked for a day and spend a day in jail. Unless I am reading this incorrectly, there is no time left on the case and it will expire tomorrow with or without those last few classes being completed. This all assumes that the PO does not already have a warrant on the case.

The PO can get a tolling order rather quickly. All they have to do is get a judge to sign an order. Keep in mind this does not extend your probation, but merely stops the time you have remaining.

Make sure it's not a first offender sentence because that can change the expiration date and the probation can be extended.

I agree with previous answers in regard to your term of probation expiring, even if you have not completed all classes, if no tolling order or warrant is in place. In regard to your question about how long it takes for a probation officer to obtain a tolling order or have a warrant signed, I also agree with previous answers that it could be done very quickly (it may be a matter of the PO simply and literally walking the order to the Judge's office). As another previous answer noted, however, if you are currently on probation under first offender treatment, then things could be very different.
