Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm not sue what your question is. If it is about IID's, click on the following link, which may be aptly titled for you, "Every question answered about an IID that you were too afraid to ask." I hope it helps you.

Depending on the timing of your prior DWI convictions the interlock may be the least of your concerns. Your license could be in serious jeopardy for the next 5+ years. You didn't ask a question tho, so we can't really help you. If your trying to avoid paying for the IID, there is a financial hardship application, but that would have been brought up prior to sentencing. You should call your attorney.
Like the other attorneys, I did not see a question...but I will attempt to assume what you're asking... Why do you have to pay for IID NOW when your last DWI conviction was in 2006? Well, it is because if you have not been driving a car since your last case as a way to avoid the Ignition Interlock Program, then it has caught up to you. As I explain to my clients convicted of DWI, sooner or later, if you ever want your driving privileges back, you will have to do the IID program and pay for it. It is expensive. In Ithaca, it costs about $150+ dollars for installation of IID then an additional monthly fee around $100. Since your driving history is bad, it is unlikely the judge will remove the IID after 6 months. You will likely have to go through the whole term. Best of luck to you.
