Can I have someone sit with my child when they are being questioned by DCF?

DCF is coming over to "complete" their file. It's a BS complaint my ex put his hands on me while the kids were asleep. I just wanted him out of my house and I went to the Police. Needless to say I got stuck with DCF. He isn't their father and I am pregnant with his baby, but he won't have any rights unless he takes me to court.

DCF has the right to interview your children outside of your presence. If you want someone to be with them, you can ask DCF to interview them at school or daycare, where a child professional can be present.
