Is it a threat if I show my spouse/plaintiff an article about parental kidnapping? Will it affect the custody battle?

Pending divorce. The judge reprimanded me when the plaintiff complained that i showed her an article from Washington post about parental kidnapping case when the plane was turned back to airport to prevent parental kidnapping. The plaintiff has made several threats to take the child out of the US without my consent. I asked and received orders to surrender the child's passport to the court and travel restriction order. I was in no way threatening the plaintiff, just gave her the newspaper article so she will understand the consequences. The plaintiff told the judge that I threatened her through the article. For some reason, the judge was not happy. Will it affect the custody battle? Thank you

You can use the find a lawyer tab or you can speak to one of the attorneys answering this question. Our information is available through .
