Is it safe to list my child who has a removal order, and is currently in the U.S. with no status, on my own N-400?

I have been a permanent resident for over 5+ years and I am ready to apply for citizenship. I have no issues that would impede my N-400 application. My only concern is that I have a 32 yr old son who has a removal order from 2007. He has since returned to the U.S. and currently living in a different state. I know that I must list him on my N-400 but I am scared that if I list his address or even state of residence, USCIS or ICE might start looking for him. Can I omit his address?

You are signing a form under penalty of perjury. It would seriously not be advised deliberately to omit information.

You absolutely have to list your son on your N-400 or you could have serious immigration consequences for yourself. As for address listed for your son, that is something that an immigration attorney can help you determine. Consult with an immigration attorney in your are and they can help you proceed. Good luck!

You do not have the option of choosing. The forms are under oath, it is a crime not to tell the truth. And consider what happens later, when you want to legalize your child's status, and they say, "funny, you didn't mention you had this child on your natz application?"

You cannot omit any information you are ordered to provide under oath. Remember also that anything pertinent immigration may already know so you're not folling anyoneby evading their questions. They look for truthfulness and honesty and antyhing that deviates from that will be dealt with accordingly. Please hrie an immigration lawyer!
