I need an attorney, I want to see if we have some legal case. Can we sue HEB for causing my Son to have a mental collapse?

After 2 years of hard work (most of other employees quit due to HEB treatment), they wrote him up for being sick, then humiliated him by walking off the floor before a meeting when he asked to have the Director present and would not tell the supervisor what question he was going to ask. They did not fire him, they knew they were wrong, but he had to be put into a mental facility and almost died from lack of sleep for 4 days because of what HEB supervisors did to him, that sent him into a mental collapse? He was hospitalized for manic depressive. Now he is not the same, he has delusions and wants to save everybody and the world

Atty Gordon stated it best: . I'm sorry that this has happened to your son. You should take your case to a local attorney, which you can find using the "Find a Lawyer" tool. You have a lot of facts and issues to address.

I'm sorry that this has happened to your son. You should take your case to a local attorney, which you can find using the "Find a Lawyer" tool. That attorney will probably want to do a bit of investigating and interviewing witnesses, etc. The first problem that comes to my mind is that HEB is going to say that the "mental collapse" was not the result of their treatment, but because of everything else going on in your son's life, so the attorney will likely need to see what other contributing factors existed. It's a difficult case because the damage complained of has to be a direct result of the actions of the HEB - when there were certainly other things that might have also contributed. But, like I said, more investigation will need to be done. Best Wishes!

I am likewise sorry this has happened to you and your family. I am not entirely clear as to what actually occurred from what you have stated, but If you would like to pursue this matter, you should consult a local personal injury attorney. You can find one (if you have not already) by using the Lawyer search on this site. At the time of your consultation, you should be prepared to present all of the facts, with the employment and medical documents, to the attorney you find. Presenting everything to an attorney in a face to face consultation is the best way to find out if your son has any legal recourse against the company. I agree with the other attorneys that your situation raises a number of legal and factual issues that must be carefully analyzed before anyone can tell you whether this is a case that should or should not be pursue. Based on the facts you have disclosed, I also agree that this will likely be a very difficult case. As the other attorneys have mentioned, proving that the damages that your son suffered were caused by the actions of the company will be a big hurdle to overcome in a lawsuit, if filed. I wish you and your son the best of luck in this matter.
