My car was impounded after being towed from from an apartment complex because it wasnt working? I dont have to money to fix it but I dont just want the impound company to get a free car? When I go to retrieve my property can I vandalize it, break windows, etc....??? I own the car free and clear and have the title.
Wow that would be a fairly cool thing to see play out....legally and otherwise. I would advise against it however. Tow company could have some kind of possessory interest in the car. May even be a criminal charge in there somewhere. Hard to say but just not worth the hassle.

Vandalizing the car when someone else has a higher possessory interest in the car than you do right now is not a good idea. Pay the tow fee, take legal possession of the car and then you can vandalize your own property. Can you pay fee and tow it to a friends place? Can you find a buyer and pay the tow fee and let them take the car? Let your anger subside, then work out a plan to salvage some money.
