Can I pay double on a ticket for speeding in a construction zone to get if off my record?

This is my first ticket, I wasn't paying attention, ticket is for 71 in a 55, it was 1:30 in the morning, and they put up the construction zone only a few days ago. I don't want my insurance rates to go up, how can I prevent that from happening?

Get an attorney and have him speak to the prosecutor. If there were no worker present and the cop does not have an attitude about your ticket an amendment may be possible.

Maybe. Is it a city ticket or state ticket? If it's state you'll have to do diversion.
