When will my fiance be released?
Anonymous4 views5 answers
My fiance was supposed to be released this morning from Riker's after serving a sentence of violation of probation. His probation was revoked, and per the sentencing he no longer has probation upon completion of his sentence. He has a CO ZT (court order), but has been told repeatedly there are no holds on his release. Why hasn't he been released and who can I call to find out what happened?? We haven't been informed of any warrants from any other states to cause an out of state hold - there's nothing. Why isn't he being released?

I agree with my colleague's answer. An inquiry should be made through NYC Department of Corrections. If he had an attorney who represented him in the Probation Violation process, he should contact him or her as well. He might also, as a final resort, inquire through Probation concerning whether there is anything else outstanding but his primary source of inquiry should be through NYC Corrections.
