Amending tax return after the Tax filing deadline and its implications

Recently, I have received my Green Card and I am a little worried about my tax situation. I finished filing taxes for the year 2014 (Federal and State). However, yesterday (09th April 2015) I discovered that I have missed to include a form that was issued for an interest paid (Interest amount - 157$ and an estimated federal tax withholding of 47$ at the rate of 30% has already been deducted as per the form 1042S). CPA suggested me to do an amendment to my filing and 2 years of time is available. CPA also mentioned I might not owe any money to Federal or State. There is nothing to worry, however the amendment "HAS" to be done and can be done after the tax filing deadline. Will this amendment have any adverse effects on my Green Card and naturalization process??

Merely having to file an amendment to your tax return will not impact your green status or future naturalization process.

The naturalization application Form N-400 does require you to answer the question whether you owe any overdue Federal, State, or local taxes. I would recommend that you confirm your CPA's belief as to owing any overdue taxes before you respond "No" to this question.

You have a CPA and should listen to the advice given by him or her. And amended tax return should not affect your immigration status.
