I was in a car accident about a year ago went through two lawyers no this is my third one needing to say is the case has been settlement just waiting for everyone to get paid. When I spoke to my lawyer he told me that my medical bills would be around $20,000 . But I know I that there's no way it should be that high I didn't went to the hospital or the emergency room I only had an MUA. Had two shots in my arm and a couple of x-Rays and Chirco I had PIP insurance that total$10,000 I was told that the MUA max that out. The next time is office contact me they told me my bills are now $29,000 and also my insurance pay $2000 towards my MUA which she did not know until I told her about it then she said she'll take it off does that seem like there are on the up and up.

There is simply no way anyone can answer your question. We lack the information your lawyer possesses. I encourage you to call and set up a face to face meeting w/your lawyer and ask to see all of the bills and clear the air as to where you are and where you are going. good luck

I am not sure what your question is or what you are asking anyone here to do? If you have questions about your medical bills, this should have been discussed long ago with your doctors as you were getting care, and you can go back to them to verify the charges or discuss same with your lawyer about what is actually owed. You also repeatedly reference an MUA, which despite 25 years of handling injury cases I have no idea what you mean.

You have a problem. You have hired and fired several attorneys. Also, you owe $29,000.00 in medical bills. Assuming you signed a letter of protection, your attorney has an ethical obligation to pay the medical providers. He/she will get into trouble with the Florida Bar if he/she does not come to an agreement with your medical providers. You need to stay with one lawyer and have him/her do the best they can to resolve your case. Your attorney can attempt to negotiate with the doctors. However, he/she will be unable to settle the case and not pay your doctors. I am sorry for your difficult situation.

Without more knowledge as to the facts of your case and the circumstances surrounding it, it is nearly impossible to give you an accurate answer. If you don't believe the attorney is conveying the correct amounts of medical bills to you, you can always request the bills directly from your providers. Id suggest setting up a conference with your attorney to discuss this with him. Good luck.

I agree. Have the lawyer negotiate the bills down to about 10-20% or do not sign the papers. He cannot get paid until it is resolved
