You are certainly free to invest in or create a business, but cannot work in any way (managerial or operational) for the new business, under your current status - any work would violate the terms of your H-1B status. There may ways that the new venture can sponsor you, but you will need to consult with an immigration attorney to evaluate those options.

This is filled with pitfalls. One is that you may have a non-competition clause with your employer, another is that you are only authorized by USCIS to work for your employer. I would get legal advice before proceeding.

You can start a company but not work in it unless you obtain other work authorization. Consult with an immigration attorney re start up/entrepreneur visas.

Posting questions and rephrasing them to re-post will not give new answers.
