First Class Summons issued

I got pulled over and got a "fix-it" ticket for my tint on my car and I never got it taken off. About a week later I saw a docket sheet and it says summons issued and First Class summons issued on it. What does that mean?

Generally, a Summons is the process utilized to force you to come to court. If the Summons you received has a date to attend, you need to do so, or risk issuance of a bench warrant. Depending on local practices and convenience, there is obviously a chance that the issuing authority may want to see proof that you have fixed the tinting.

The "fix-it" ticket you received gave you a designated time to complete the "repair" and demonstrate to the issuing authority that you had done so. By ignoring the "fix it" ticket, a standard citation has been issued to you along with a summons to appear before the local Magisterial District Judge. Ignore that and the next thing will be a bench warrant for your immediate arrest. Better take care of this matter pronto before it takes care of you.

You were likely cited for the window tint violation because you failed to correct the situation and notify the officer. If your tint is after-market and lets less than 70% of light through the front windows or windshield you will likely continue to be stopped and/or cited via mail. If the officer used a light meter you should have some idea how dark the tint is. Now you must respond to the ticket or a warrant will issue and your driver's license can be suspended for non-response.
