The papers in the case may well suggest you are not really a partner. Have a lawyer look the papers over.

Before you think of suing, you can work with an attorney who can evaluate the proof that you have and then see about writing to her to start the conversation. If there is a partnership in fact, there is state and case law to consider as to what your rights are.

I would recommend sitting down with an attorney so they can review your claim. This sounds like it could be a rather complex analysis and you will want to contact someone familiar with business law and business formation.

This shows some promise of being resolved in your favor, although more facts would be needed to warrant a lawsuit. NC courts often hold that a general partnership exists when the business associates share profits, and make key business/management decisions. Other facts would likely be factored too, as your attorney becomes more familiar with the details of this particular business. If it can be firmly established that you in fact have a general partnership, the next question is whether your business partner wronged you in a way redressable by law. Generally, one general partner cannot restrict the rights of another general partner to participate fully in the enterprise, unless the partners expressly agreed otherwise. Then, the discussion would turn to remedies to address your legal injuries. This, roughly, is what you and a NC business attorney need to discuss in an initial consultation. Best wishes to you.
