Can an attorney help me with a problem with a used car purchased from a dealer?

I bought a used car on Saturday from a dealer. The car was purchased "as is" but according to the dealer, all vehicles had been inspected by their mechanics and been deemed safe. There is a sticker on the windshield that says it is safety check approved. After the car was purchased I drove 4.5 miles to my home and then later that day drove another 3.2 miles to a gas station. After filling the gas tank, I turned out of the parking lot onto the road and the vehicle died in the middle of the road. It was unable to be restarted and had to be towed off of the road. That does not seem like a car that has passed a safety inspection but since it was purchased "as is" is there anything I can do to get the dealer to cover the repair costs or refund the purchase price?

Did you buy a written warranty? Used car deals are As Is Final unless you have a written promise to the contrary. LEOON LAW APPLIES TO NEW CAR SALES
