You send nothing to "Homeland Security", that will not affect your pending I-130 petition and the child will be taken care of at the NVC stage, after when USCIS approves the I-130 and when that I-130's "Priority Date" is close to becoming "current".

Depending on where your wife is and where the child is, that information will either be given to the NVC or if you become a US citizen through naturalization, you will need to take specific action to petition your child.

Nothing to worry, you can always update the information with birth certificate of the child. In my experience, it's easy to update it with NVC. After I-130 gets approved, it will be sent to NVC for consulate processing, ( based on assumption that your wife is overseas)
