Why is my EAD category C09 valid only for One year? It is hard to renew it?And what are the benefits of having EAD apart of work

You have filed for a greencard, in most cases it is processed within 1 year ... that's why they limit your EAD.
It is easy to renew ... if necessary.

As long as your adjustment of status is still pending, the renewal of the EAD is rather straightforward.

Hopefully, the green card application does not take more than a year to be decided. But you can still renew if it is set to expire before a decision is made on your green card application.
