Should mother got custody if a man is poor...can't get a job? Shouldn't the court force the mother yo help the child father if mother is making it economically hard for him?

The court can - and will - give the majority of the time sharing to a parent based on the best interests of the child. If a parent cannot adequately provide for the child - even after receiving child support - that parent having the majority time sharing is not in the child's best interest.

I agree with Mr. Mullaney answer, Florida's custody statute lists multiple facts that the court's should consider in determining what is in the best interest of the child. Being able to financially provide for your children is but one factor, but it is an important one.

First, there is no such thing as custody in Florida, so you are most likely incorrect to say she got custody. Second, I'm not sure what you are asking here? There are many facts missing, like how did she put you in an economically hard spot?

Attorneys Mullaney and Feuerstein have given you correct answers. Money, although not nearly the most important factor, is an element to be considered in determining the best interests of the children in where they should reside a majority of the time.
