We just changed our parenting plan it was a year in march. I got a motion to change our parenting plan again on Sat. Our son is going to be turning 18 in Dec. of this year. and I was wondering how long do I have to turn in my response to his claims. There has not been a court date set or anything. I just received them in the mail on Sat.

If you received a Motion to Modify Parenting Time (or a document with a similar title), then the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure say that you have 21 days from the date of filing to file a Response. The date of filing should be stamped on the document in the top right corner. However, I would consult with an attorney, as it is unclear what exactly you received in the mail, and therefore you may have a different amount of time to act accordingly.

As my colleague stated you have 21 days from the date of the Motion to file a response. I'd suggest a consultation with an experienced family law attorney, some, but not all, offer free consultations. Missing the deadline can have some serious consequences.
