What would most likely to happen if I had a lawyer to represent my case? What if not?

I have recently received a letter from the courts saying I must attending a hearing due to 2 counts of DUI. Count #1: DUI, Class 1 Misdemeanor. Count #2: DUI with BAC .08 or More.
What should I most likely do & what could be a possible result of hiring/not hiring a DUI lawyer?
There are no certainties in these cases, lawyer or not. Do not listen to any lawyer who tells you otherwise.
An individual may always proceed self-represented and sometimes with great success. However, I would strongly encourage you to at least consult with a DUI attorney. Most consultations are free and you'll learn quite a bit even if you decide to proceed alone.
Thank you for the questions and comments. The consequences of a DUI can be staggering. The two counts against you are "standard" for a DUI prosecution. We will assume that at some point in the recent past you were stopped by police, may be arrested, and either your blood was drawn or you were given a breath test.
First, you want an attorney to review the evidence against you. Perhaps interview witnesses, etc. BUT, many attorneys will offer at least a free consult to review the documents you have now and ask you some more questions.
