I moved in 4 months ago and on the first day I turned the radio on within 5 minutes there was a note on my door indicating my music was too loud. Since then every time I turn the radio on my neighbor bangs on the door yelling that I need to turn the radio off. Ive never played music before 2:00 pm or after 10:00 pm and the volume level in never above a 6. I understand everyones idea of what they consider being loud differs, but I want to be able to listen to music without headphones

Check with your city about any noise ordinances or limits on times that music can be played. Also check with your landlord. They may have additional restrictions. If you are within authorized limits, ask your landlord to help with the neighbor. Perhaps another apartment is available or some sort of noise dampening material can be installed.
