Contempt for non-payment of court ordered medical bills??
My ex is ordered to pay 65% of all medical bills not covered by insurance. He has 30 days from the date I provided him the paperwork (Bills, payments, totals, etc.) to pay in full. I gave him the bills 45 days ago, he paid my daughters portion of the bills, but not my sons. (I had them separated and broken down per child, my daughter bills were only a fourth of what my sons were.) The court recommended I wait the full 30 days before sending them the bills if he has not paid, at which time they will file a contempt hearing on him for non-payment. Since he paid a small portion of whats owed, should I wait 30 days from when he paid that amount or just submit the paperwork to the court now? He has made no attempt to pay towards my sons bills, not has he attempted to make payment arrangements.
