I am not licensed in Arizona, but in California, one can ask the judge to convert the fines to community service and there are often fee waivers for the classes. You may have to just take out a loan or get a credit card to make ends meet. Good luck.

Agree with Mr. Hill. It may be possible to have the court allow you to perform community service in lieu of the fines. Explain your situation to the court. In my experience, as long as you are making an effort to comply, the court is generally willing to work with you. Best of luck.

Unfortunately a DUI conviction comes with mandatory fines and assessments set by the State legislature through statute. In some courts, depending on the judge, if you explain your financial situation you may be able to have the judge waive some costs. I have also seen some courts waive or reduce the cost of mandatory alcohol classes. However, please remember that the required alcohol classes are done through independent companies, so waiving their costs may not be a possibility. The best thing you can do regarding financial issues is to keep in contact with the court and explain to the judge what your financial situation is like. If you provide the judge and court with information they can try to help you in any way possible.

You are expected to pay the fines and fees even if it takes forever to do so. Your payments can be reduced but will not be zero. Only some of the surcharges can be waived. The classes are required by statute and by MVD. Your husband can be found in contempt of court and incarcerated if he fails to comply with the court orders. Sorry, but someone needs to earn an income.
