Salaried employees are not working full 8 hours and take 2 hour lunches is there a labor law that prohibits that type of abuse

The salary employees in our office arrive 30-45 minutes late and take 1.5 - 2.5 hour lunches. Hourly employees are not given the same privilege is this fair? What can be done

In general, that is the difference between hourly and salaried employees. The primary trade off is a salaried employee is not paid overtime while hourly employees are entitled to the extra money for working overtime. If your employer has no problem with those hours, then there is nothing you can or should do about it.

No labor law addresses your issue. This is up to the employer to rein in or not. Hope this helps.
