Generally speaking, if you fail to appear in court an arrest warrant will be issued. Such warrants typically have geographical restrictions, meaning they are only valid in certain counties, states, etc. Without knowing more about the charges it is difficult to say if the warrant would be valid in WI. If the warrant is not valid in WI, you cannot be arrested there by WI police, which would be the precursor to extradition.
They certainly could. The real question is will they. You should try re-posting this listing the location as the City in MN where that case is venued to get some input from MN lawyers as to what to expect. WI would not normally go to the trouble of extraditing on misdemeanors, but you'll need to talk to someone in MN about what MN will do. Regardless, it would be better if you retained MN counsel to deal with this, as if you are picked up in MN on a warrant in the future, you are more likely to have trouble making bail, as you will appear to the court as a flight risk. Good luck.
Sure. Will they? Probably not. But that's not the problem. The problem is that you're likely to be arrested anywhere the warrant is picked up. So you'll sit in jail a few days while Minnesota and the other state figure out what's going on with the warrant.
I've never run from the law, but it doesn't sound pleasant. Go back to Minnesota and take care of this.
Usually not, but you will probably end up with an active arrest warrant hanging over you for the rest of your life if you do not deal with this. If you are ever stopped for something routine, the warrant will come up and you could end up sitting in jail in WI (again and again) while the WI agency waits for an answer from MN as to whether or not they still want you. Hire an experienced MN criminal lawyer and get this matter taken care of instead of trying to ignore it.

Yes, Minnesota CAN extradite you back from Wisconsin. Typically warrants will state whether they are for execution within state boundaries or in all 50 states. Misdemeanor warrants are typically executed within the state from which it was issued, but there are exceptions to that rule. Usually, the longer it takes to resolve a misdemeanor case due to the defendant being in warrant status, the worse the final outcome is for the defendant. I would strongly advise you to obtain the services of an experienced criminal defense attorney in the Minnesota jurisdiction in which your case is charged, and arrange to come back to court in MN to resolve the matter. Do not wait. Call an attorney in MN today and make those arrangements. Good luck.
