Can I find a lawyer to file a case against the Title company and the Real estate office for not verifying income of the buyer ?

No funding and yet the house deal was closed and we were told to wait for about 48 to 72 hours. Finally we ended up with no money and the house had to be off the market for 5 weeks before we found out the buyer was a criminal who was on probation. He is now back in jail for other crimes he committed.

Unless the realtor and title company were in on the scam, I do not think so; they are not obligated to determine a buyer's monetary ability, that is what earnest money is for. Buyers who are serious put up earnest money at the beginning of the contract, so that if they do not buy, the seller gets to keep the money as damages for lost time. Next time, ask for earnest money.

Unless you specifically ask then to do so, you will not able to sue them for this service. That would have been your responsibility
