Hi I have court today for driving without a license and I also have a probation violation case
Hi I have court today for driving without a license and I also have a probation violation case too for a past case that's already closed but I never paid my restitution which was $220 which I had to pay two months ago. N I was on informal probation. Do you know what the judge is gonna offer me or is he gonna make me pay a fine. Please reply back thank you
A stranger on the Internet, who knows nothing about your case, cannot predict what will happen today in court.
If you can't afford to hire your own lawyer, ask the judge to appoint one from the Public Defender's Office.
There is not enough information provided to give a specific answer to your questions. Driving without of license implicates multiple charges depending on whether you have a license, and whether your privilege to drive is suspended and what it was suspended for. These variation change the possible outcomes significantly from dismissals with proof of a license being possible to carrying jail sentences. Further, you ask about a probation violation and there is much more information needed to evaluate: is it a felony or misdemeanor case? is probation formal of informal? have you been violated before? are there any other bases for the violation besides the new law violation and the failure to pay restitution? This and many other pieces of information are needed to evaluate your case and questions.
With multiple cases and the the possibility of a jail sentence, you should consult an attorney prior to going to court or at minimum ask to speak with the Public Defender when you go to court if you are eligible for their services.
